It was the most anticipated show on the Spring Summer Fashion Week schedule, and by the looks of the captivated front row, Kanye West's debut collection delivered. Harper's Bazaar fashion editor Christine Centenera lent her well-trained eye, along with the guidance of London's Central Saint Martins' creative crew - making it quite the collective effort. The aesthetic? Sexy sport meets super luxurious. Simple, athletic shapes were spliced unapologetically to flash flesh, neat tube skirts were sassed up via graphic zip details and bomber jackets made glamorous with delicate sequin embellishment. Fur, leather and metallics continued the luxe appeal given to sharp, modern silhouettes. Kanye picked the creme of the modelling crop to don his designs, with Anja Rubik, Chanel Iman and Aussies Bambi Northwood-Blyth and Abbey Lee Kershaw storming down his celeb-ringed runway. It was sharp, it was dripping in luxury, it was modern and most of all, it was sexy. We wouldn't expect anything else from Mr West.
