2011 RAFW: Josh Goot

Presenting an essay in art-inspired dressing, Josh Goot's RAFW show delighted. Showing us more of the same styles that we've come to expect from this homegrown but internationally acclaimed talent, Josh's clever way with prints and colour won us over again. Mondrian-esque primary colours were spliced in body-conscious curves and Pollack-like printed dresses gave us a post-impressionist rush. Monotone suits in cobalt, sharp-sleeved shell tops and boxy cut separates sealed the modernist deal.

Trends: Minimalism, colour blocking, abstract prints, coloured trousers and suiting.
Colours:
Primary hues as well as black, white and pale mint and pink.
Accessories:
Peep toe ankle boots in mint and pink.
Front Row: Lara Bingle, Michael Clarke, Ruby Rose, Sophie Lowe, Erin McNaught, Connie Mitchell, Krew Boylan, Gracie Otto and Camilla Freedman-Topper.
Key Looks: Solid blue suit, shift dresses in abstract prints spliced with mint, colour blocked shifts and anything in his marbled abstract prints.
