Pittsburgh Steelers wide reciever Hines Ward was named the winner of the 12th season of "Dancing With the Stars" on Tuesday night -- quite a feat for a guy who claims not to have attended his high-school prom out of fear that he might get ridiculed for his lack of prowess on the dance floor.
He and his dance partner Kym Johnson squared off in the finals against a surprisingly limber Kirstie Alley and Disney Channel star Chelsea Kane and their respective partners Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas. Alley was named runner-up.
