Nicholas K kicked of the New York Spring/Summer New York Fashion Week schedule at 9am (NYC time yesterday). It was all about the modern gypsy at Nicholas K as designer siblings Nicholas and Christopher Kunz sent models down the runway decked out in silken layers complete with long head scarves, nomadic leather platform sandals, and side cornrow braids. For daywear the duo showcased sheer dresses layered underneath glazed cropped ponchos, while nightwear focused on long silk gowns, gracefully flowing down the runway. With a colour palette of warm, vibrant earth tones, the collection took on a functional futuristic aesthetic. We especially loved the perfectly layered look, see middle image, comprised of light tan trench and draped skirt paired with a knotted cream top. More highlights from the show below.
