From the runway to red carpets to your local Westfield, colour blocking is ev-er-y where at the moment. As if we needed more encouragement both Solange Knowles and Pippa Middleton stepped out in recent days in two very different takes on the trend. Ignoring her too-freakin'-cute-for-words son Julez Smith for a sec, let's look at Solange's interpretation at yesterday's Macy's soiree in NYC. Beyonc駳 little sister opted for a bright and cheery combo of a colour blocked knit teamed with yellow cropped leather pants, and gets extra points for her purple boxy bag and animal print pumps. Pippa on the other hand gave the trend a chic makeover via her neutral palette and ladylike silhouette on the streets of London. Her navy shell top and box pleat skirt are working wardrobe essentials, but look modern thanks to her colour splicing.
