2011 Oscars After Party: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is no stranger to sequins, and last night, she opted to bring some youthful sparkle to the Vanity Fair after party red carpet. Her Zuhair Murad strapless minidress is totally age appropriate, but short and sweet enough to still be sexy. Coordinating earrings, bangles, clutch, and peep-toe pumps keeps her golden tied together. Are you into this look?

Shawntel Newton on Brad Womack: I Was in Love!
Shawntel Newton is sad.
She harbors no hard feelings about being eliminated last week on The Bachelor, but she was devastated just the same. She even uses the l-word to describe it.
Here's what Shawntel had to say about taking Brad Womack to her unusual workplace, the tension with her family, who she thinks will win and more ...
On taking Brad to work: "I thought I might as well lay my cards out on the table. This is my job. This is what I grew up around and if he wants to get down on his knee and propose, he should see what I do. It's the final test almost."
On her family's concerns: "I always thought that I would stay in Chico and take over the business. It was a shock to my family. Everything came at them at once – me saying I'm in love, I might be leaving this lifestyle in Chico, moving."
"I was falling in love so I was willing to move."
On being surprised she was cut: "I told him I was in love. It was like minutes [before] he left. I thought I'd have more time to explore what he thought about me moving, saying I love him, the funeral home. Unfortunately, he wasn't feeling the same."
On moving on: "I compare this to losing a loved one because we go through the same stages of denial. In losing Brad, I allowed myself to get angry. I allowed myself to go through the stages in a healthy way and I'm not in love with him anymore."
On who she thinks will win: "I thought Ashley Hebert was going home. I knew that she hadn't told him that she was falling in love and I had. It was a shock that he'd let a girl go who was in love and willing to leave her life."
"But my personal opinion is that he is in love with Emily. she's everything he wants. He wants to be a father to her child. She wants to get married and have more kids."
Who do you think will win The Bachelor?

HBO Drops Its Nikki Finke-Alike Comedy, 'Tilda'
Ah, this must be Nikki Finke’s month.
First a candid photo of the famously camera-shy blogger in her car -- and posted on Murdoch’s new The Daily -- turned out not to be Finke after all. Now HBO has passed on the comedy “Tilda,” in which Diane Keaton plays a Finke-alike – and over which Finke insisted she had no control.

2011 Oscars: Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock's crimson Vera Wang gown is as classic as it gets on the red carpet. Strapless, structured and red hot - Sandra is pulling out all the stops! The bustle and short train adds major glam to her gown, and she adds a smidge of sparkle via fine diamond bracelets and stud earrings. A simple red clutch purse ties the red look together. What's your call - is Sandra's Oscars look a yay or a nay?

4 Reasons CBS, WB Waited So Long to Pull Sheen's Plug
Let’s hope Charlie Sheen has kept some of his millions away from the hookers, booze and blow because it’s unlikely he’s going to find a big job in the near future.
After weeks of mounting Major League craziness by the part-time comic actor/full-time aging hedonist, CBS and Warner Bros pulled the plug today on the rest of the current season of “Two and a Half Men.” Chances are good that the hit sitcom will be placed on permanent hiatus, no matter how strong the ratings currently are.

Britney Spears: Pretty Much Loaded
Britney Spears has done well for herself in the last few years.
The singer's conservatorship and marketing machine have made a killing since December of 2008, when the conservators took over $2,826,362.68.
Exactly one year later, Britney's assets controlled by the conservators swelled to $27,500,000, thanks largely to Britney's wildly successful Circus Tour.
It's good to be Britney Spears. Especially on medication.
The figures are deceiving in that conservators only control a portion of Britney's total estate - namely her business expenses. She has a lot of money and property in her various trusts and other business entitites the conservators do not control.
Basically, she's even richer than that figure indicates.

New Ke$ha Music Video: James Van Der Beek Alert!
Ke$ha has outdone herself this time.
No, the eccentric artist isn't wearing a crazy outfit or donning excessive face paint in the music video for "Blow." But she is hilariously interacting with former Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek.
“Well, well, well... if it isn’t James Van Der Douche,” Ke$ha says about halfway through. Responds the actor:“I don’t appreciate you slander-beeking my name, Ke-dollar sign-ha."
It makes very little sense, but don't worry: according to a disclaimer, “no mythological creatures were harmed in the making of this video."

Day Two Of Fab's Big Singaporean Shop-a-thon
Today is the second, and last (boo!) day of my Singaporean shopping adventure, and wowee- it's been a whirlwind! Want the shorthand version of what I got up to today? This morning it was all about seeing the cultural side of this shopping metropolis. First stop was Little India, where we visited local 'wet markets' selling exotic fruit, vege, all kinds of seafood and delicacies like black chicken (yes- it really is black!). Appetites whetted by the amazing sights and aromas, we opted for roti prata with curryon the run, washed down with local coffee (made super sweet with condensed milk) and fresh vegetable juices. Next stop was sprawling China Town, where we wandered the market stalls browsing cheongsams, racks swaying under the weight of jade beaded necklaces, and colourful chopsticks by the bucket load.
From street vendors and handicrafts, to high end designer labels and luxury shopping malls - we made the leap into the ultrachic world of Marina Bay Sands, the home base for big brands in Singapore. Leave the credit card at home if you have a problem with self control (I may be talkin' about myself there), coz Marina Bay Sands is dangerous- capital D. On my most lusted-after list? The Chanel frock Blake Lively wore so well, as well as an envelope clutch purse from YSL, and a orange strapped watch from Hermes. Total fantasy? Er, yes. But fabulously fun all the same. If you want to distract yourself from the retail temptation you could always take a gondola ride down the internal river, or go ice skating in the food court. This is the stuff of shopping dreams, andI was lucky enough to live it- if only for two days. Stay tuned toFab for my in depth shopping reports on Singapore, but I think I can predictthat Singapore is going to be a straightA student.
This Week's Fab Faves!

Accessories Report: Fab's Great Singaporean Shop-a-thon

Don't know about you, but one thing that I always look out for when I'm O/S is accessories. And not necessarily the cheap and cheerful kind, but more the expensive would-never-normally-buy-back-in-Oz kind. A designer bag, belt or shoe can add serious cred to an otherwise ho-hum outfit. With this in mind, and coupled with the strong Aussie dollar and GST tax backreimbursement,I've been scouting for savvy accessory buys on my recent Singapore shopping trip. So far I've spied patent wallets and pastel Tribute heels at YSL, neon pink mules at Miu Miu, some adorable patent rose totesat Paule Ka, striped clutches at Zara, embellished bags at Valentino, and satchel bags splashed with neon at Marc by Marc Jacobs. By the looks of things colour is the biggest trend on the accessories front- making these puppies perfect for brightening our wardrobes when Winter hits. Cos caring is sharing, here area few tasty morsels I've put together for yourviewing pleasure. Drool-worthy, non?

Ashley Hebert: The Next Bachelorette?
She's still alive as one of three finalists this season on The Bachelor. But has Ashley Hebert already been tapped to star on The Bachelorette this summer?
According to Reality Steve's Twitter.
For those unfamiliar with Steve, he is the WikiLeaks of Bachelor spoilers. No one knows how this stuff gets out, but it ends up on his blog and he is good.
How on Earth was a contestant who isn't even eliminated yet named the star of the sequel? We have no idea, and we obviously can't confirm this now.
But odds are still pretty high that Ashley Hebert, the perky dental student and pride of small town Madawaska, Maine, will be the next Bachelorette.
If true, it's not surprising she didn't win The Bachelor. Brad has stronger connections with Chantal O'Brien (the rumored winner) and Emily Maynard.
What is surprising is that Emily, with a stunning looks and touching story that seemed destined to land her the starring role, is not The Bachelorette.
Just the same, Ash is no slouch herself. She's down-to-earth, smart, fun and cute as they come. What do you think of the move? Vote below ...
Would Ashley make a good Bachelorette?
