Mexican Star Diego Gonzalez Boneta Circling 'Rock of Ages'
So much for the open casting -- Mexican actor and singer Diego Gonzalez Boneta is in talks to join Adam Shankman's "Rock of Ages" adaptation, which stars Tom Cruise.
No official offer has been made, TheWrap has has been told.
On March 26, Shankman held an open casting for the role of Drew Boley, a singer-guitarist described as "the nicest aspiring rocker you'll find in the Bourbon Room."

Jenelle Evans Denies Profiting From Videotaped Fight, Points Finger at Brittany Maggard
Speaking out against claims by Brittany Maggard that she profited from beating Britany Truett to a pulp, Jenelle Evans says she did nothing of the sort.
Did not profit, that is. Jenelle delivered a beating, alright.
Monday, the Teen Mom 2 star was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct after TMZ posted a video of her beating up Truett.
Now, the MTV reality star claims that Brittany Maggard, who instigated the fight with Truett, was the one who turned a profit with the shocking tape.
Evans charges that Maggard sold off the clip to the media for $45,000. "She told me herself and I got very upset," Evans told E! "I cried for two hours."
Maggard was arrested for violating probation (stemming from a previous assault conviction) after the video showed her encouraging Jenelle to fight.
Evans' lawyer said of the charge that this reeks of an orchestrated stunt: "Based on the information I have received, I believe Jenelle was set up."
Truett, the punching bag, was busted as well, but plans to claim she only got into fisticuffs with Jenelle as a matter of self-defense. Not a stretch.
"I think we have a very solid self defense claim and we are continuing to investigate the matter," Truett's attorney, Adrian Iaplucci, tells E! News.
"We are ready to take care of this as soon as possible."
Jenelle was apparently far from pleased about her ex, Kieffer Delp, making a pass at Truett, or vice versa. Whatever the case, she went OFF.
Evans, the mother to 19-month-old son Jace, who is now under the primary custody of Jenelle's own mom, is due back in court on April 26.

Broadcast Film Critics Form TV Organization, Plan Awards Show
Adding a new show to the Emmy calendar the way it did to the Oscar season a decade and a half ago, the Broadcast Film Critics Association has announced the formation of a parallel organization, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, and the creation of the Critics Choice Television Awards.
The awards will take place at a lunch on June 20 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, four days before Emmy nominating ballots are due and a little less than three months before the Emmy show.
Brittany Maggard Arrested For Instigating Jenelle Evans Fight
Brittany Maggard, who triggered Jenelle Evans' POUNDING of some girl she suspected of messing around with her ex, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
The charge for Brittany? Violating her probation.
All she did was push Jenelle in the direction of beating recipient Britany Truett, but that's all it took for Maggard to get on the wrong side of her P.O.
When the Teen Mom fight first posted on TMZ, the Department of Corrections of North Carolina set the wheels in motion to yank her probation ASAP.
She's on probation for assault. The terms of her freedom require her to obey all laws. If the DOC determines she's not, well, it's their call to pop her.
Brittany is bitter, saying it's not fair she's in more trouble than the other girls in the fight and all she did was push Jenelle. She says she's "terrified."
Of course, she was on probation for a previous ASSAULT CONVICTION, so it's hard to be sympathetic. That and she admitted instigating the brawl.
In any case, she's now free on $5,000 bond.

USA Network Dominates Cable Ratings Race -- Again
College basketball had the 1967-73 UCLA Bruins. Major League Baseball had the 1949-53 New York Yankees. And cable television has the 2006-2011 USA Network.
For a ridiculous nineteenth straight time, the NBC Universal property posted a victory in the quarterly cable ratings race in total viewers. It also edged the competition in the 18-49 demo in the first quarter of this year, after a defeat at the sausage-fingered hands of ESPN at the tail end of 2010.

Sources tell E! Online that K-Fed's long-term girlfriend, Victoria Prince, is pregnant with the couple's first baby. She's about five months along and the pair is "totally happy" about it, an insider claims.
Despite appearances, Victoria Prince - NOT Kevin Federline - is the one reportedly expecting.
If true, this child will be Federline's fifth overall. He has two with Shar Jackson and two sons, Sean and Jaden, with Britney. Most of that clan actually united two weeks ago for a Little League game.

From Japan to Libya, disasters and political upheavel around the globe are wreaking havoc on the already-skeletal budgets of cable and broadcast news organizations.
“We've already had a year's worth of breaking news coverage, and it's not even the end of March,” David Verdi, NBC News VP of worldwide newsgathering, told TheWrap.

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have lent their name and their words of encouragement to a great cause.
Both artists have recorded videos in which they send prayers and urge fans to donate whatever they can afford to the victims of this month's earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Bieber will also record a song for a CD whose proceeds will benefit those affected, while Lady Gaga's bracelets have raised $1.5 million for the crises.

A federal judge in Los Angeles ruled on Thursday that the actor still owns the rights to the character, paving the way for further projects by Beatty, who directed and starred in the 1990 “Dick Tracy” film, which also starred Madonna, Al Pacino and Dustin Hoffman.

Access Hollywood recently released a new "behind the scenes" video clip (below),which features Robert Pattinson dancing up a storm with is "Water For Eephants" movie,co-star Reese Witherspoon. The clip starts off showing Robert on the set for another take. Then it jumps to a dinner scene with Robert and Reese. They do a toast. Next, Reese asks Robert to dance because it's her favorite song. After that, they hit the dance floor to get their "boogie" on.
